Delayed Obedience is Disobedience
In Numbers 13-14 Israel scouted out the promised land in preparation for God to lead them in to it. But most of the men who went said that the people of the land were too powerful for them. They discouraged the people, and put doubt in their minds. The people wanted to turn back to Egypt, they disobeyed God and refused to go up and take the land. Angry, God commanded them then to go back and wander in the wilderness again 40 years until all the men who refused to fight were dead. The people were sorry then and went up to fight, but God was not with them. It was too late, they were again in disobedience.
