We’re All Between Swims

We will all fail, fall short, sin, misspeak, mis-act, and that’s when the devil pounces. We know glorying in ourselves and our accomplishments is pride, but maybe wallowing in our shame is too. Excessively criticizing ourselves, focusing on our failures, is still an over obsession with the self. It’s not about us. It’s about Jesus. We’re not in the lead, we’re not the essential component. Leave room for God to work. After the crucifixion the disciples were grieving, confused, and hopeless. But Jesus was still working even though they couldn’t see it yet. Easter was the day that death lost. There are dark times that we don’t always understand, but that doesn’t mean God isn’t working.
